President

Nancy has served as Madison Lumber Company’s chief financial officer for over 30 years, and since 1993 as its president. Nancy holds degrees in Government and English. Her work experience includes education, journalism and public administration. From 1991 to 1993, she was the Executive Officer of the Montana Building Industry Association. She currently serves on the board of the Montana Ambassadors.

Nancy is recognized by the Western Building Materials Dealers Association as a certified materials estimator. With over 30 years experience in the building materials business, Nancy has developed important supply chain connections and has visited numerous distribution and manufacturing sites. Nancy has four grown children, Benjamin, Emily, Patrick and Julia.


General Manager

Steve has 20 years experience at Madison Lumber Company with expertise in contractor sales. He is certified by the WBMDA as a certified materials estimator and has completed over 40 building products training seminars.

Steve is knowledgeable in product specifications and applications. His experience includes residential, commercial and industrial building materials sales. He is a graduate of Ennis High School where he was an all-state football player. Steve is married to Kelley, owner of Cherubs Child Care, and has a son, Jake, and daughter, Megan.


Store Manager

Barry has over 16 years experience in the hardware business and 12 years experience at Madison Lumber Company. He has completed building materials and hardware sales training courses. Barry is a graduate of the Do-It-Best Executive training program.

Barry holds a BS degree in Industrial Arts from Virginia Tech and is still an avid Virginia Tech fan. Barry is married to Kathleen, and they have two grown children, Scott and Kerri. Barry enjoys visiting his granddaughter, Faith, horseback riding and driving his 99' Corvette.

Sales & Delivery

Jeff has over 16 years experience at Madison Lumber Company. He is a certified forklift operator trainer and has completed certified training courses in inventory management, equipment maintenance, and product knowledge. As chief equipment operator, Jeff’s knowledge of building material products and handling requirements is essential to efficient operations at Madison Lumber Company.

Jeff is an extreme telemark skier, lucky fisherman and awesome hunter. He is the proud father of Jade, Jacoben and Bridger and the grateful son of well-known local thespian Ben Tone.


Yard Foreman

Scott came to Madison Lumber Company and the Madison Valley two years ago from western Pennsylvania. Scott is responsible for management of Madison Lumber Company’s vehicles, inventory and facility. His prior experience includes management of a construction equipment rental business.

He has two sons, Zach and Justin, and a daughter, Shelby. He and his wife Dottie love Montana and their new lifestyle. Scott enjoys restoring old cars and all types of outdoor recreation.

Office Manager

Patty has been the office manager at Madison Lumber Company since 2003. Her experience includes owning her own businesses, including, most recently, an embryo transfer cattle production business. Patty tirelessly assists customers with billing and account reconciliation and manages the efficient transition between purchase and sale.

Patty has over 40 years of business management and bookkeeping experience. Patty has three grown daughters, Bridgid Jarrett, Heather Gray and Meaghan Price, and nine grandchildren. She and her husband Steve enjoy team roping, helping friends and family, and managing their horse herd.


Kitchen & Bath Design

Kristy is a native of the Madison Valley and has been designing and coordinating kitchen and bath installations at Madison Lumber Company for over four years. Kristy has over 80 hours classroom training in kitchen and bath design and 20/20 auto-cad design software. She has designed dream kitchens from rustic to contemporary.

Kristy has a son, Willie Joe Richardson, and also trains show and performance quarter horses for Kevin and Linn Kreig at the Lost Heart Ranch east of McAllister.
